Current Mercedes-Benz "Fly-by-Wire" System (about 1993 - Present)
The latest Mercedes cruise control system is integrated with engine control. Some call it a "fly-by-wire" system
because there is no direct connection between the accelerator pedal and the throttle linkage. The actuator is the
only connection and is always engaged when driving. As yet we are unable to remanufacture or repair this system.
The systems that we can currently remanufacture are from 1976 through about 1993.
