Lifetime Warranties
Many of us have come to realize that it is often wise to replace the Cruise Control
Amplifier and Actuator at the same time. Certain failure modes in one can damage the other.
Consequently we are now offering warranties which extend as long as
individuals own their vehicle if the Cruise Control Amplifier and Actuator are replaced at
the same time with our remanufactured units!
To activate this warranty simply send us copies of 1) the shop order/bill showing installation
of the units and which control number is written in black marker on each unit, 2) the current
vehicle registration and 3) the enclosed Lifetime Warranty forms with each item filled out.
To keep the warranties valid, certain periodic maintenance must be performed; most notably,
the throttle linkage be properly lubricated. Also the units may not be opened or unusually damaged.
These warranties apply only to the vehicle into which they were originally installed.
If the vehicle is sold, normal warranties go with the vehicle and are still in effect. The lifetime
warranties do not extend to the new owner.
The cruise control actuator will normally wear with use. This warranty does not cover normal actuator wear.
It covers failure due to something that we did during the rebuild process. The actuator should last approximately
50,000 miles of cruise control system use.
Lifetime warranties are $75.00 for the amplifier and $75.00 for the actuator if the units are replaced
at the same time and bought at the time of sale. These warranties are available for amplifier only or actuator
only at $90.00 for either unit or each unit at any future date while the original warranty is in effect.
The lifetime warranty simply extends the period of the one or two year warranty. If a unit is replaced under warranty,
either normal or lifetime, the warranty ends unless the time is within the original warranty period of one year for
mechanical and two years for purely electronic units. In other words, there is one warranty replacement or repair unless
another warranty is purchased.
All warranties carry the following condition: if the unit(s) under warranty fail(s), we must be
able to inspect and evaluate both amplifier and actuator together. They are highly interactive and the
condition of one can effect the other. We are not responsibile for a defective actuator, which has not been
replaced, which damages a rebuilt amplifier. This is explained more thoroughly in the
Electronic Component Warranty section.
We must receive the amp and actuator for warranty replacement evaluation. We do not simply ship fresh units before
analysis of the units under warranty.
