As far as we know, we are the only company in the world to remanufacture some of these units. We feel that we know the systems as well as the original design engineers.
If you like to work on your car, we encourage that. You can save some money... even more by using quality remanufactured parts. Please check the reputation of the company who does the work on your equipment or at least talk to their representative long enough to gain confidence that they are competent. Then it is relatively easy to unplug these components and send them for repair.
However, these systems are very complicated; as far as the actual repairs go, we suggest that you don't try this at home! A botched job only makes our work harder. If you are unable to make the unit work properly valuable troubleshooting clues are lost. Also many solid state components are both heat and static sensitive. For these reasons we cannot take, as a core or a unit to repair, an electronic module that has had prior work done.
